Decorating for Halloween

Motherhood has been good for me.  I'm learning to let go of my constant quest for perfection, especially when it comes to housecleaning and decorating the house.  This year I decided to let Avery be in charge of decorating the entry way.  This is a huge step for me...to let my almost 3 year old be in charge of decorating the most noticeable part of our home!  I let him climb up on a chair and arrange some Halloween cut-outs on the front door and he chose which decorations to put on the entry way table.  The excitement and look of pleasure in his eyes was priceless.  And I think he actually did a really great job!  It definately looks festive!!
