A few Saturdays ago I was reading Avery a scripture book that we have. We were reading the story of the nativity. We got to the part about the angels coming to the shepherds. I asked Avery if he knew what the angels told the shepherds. He answered, "The angel said, 'Hark!' "
Earlier that morning I had come home from the grocery store and told Avery that I wish he had gone to the store with me because there had been a high school band there playing Christmas songs for all the shoppers to enjoy and he would have enjoyed it. I told him that they had played one of my favorite songs, "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" and then I sang part of the song for him. I guess he was listening to words more than I realized!
