Avery loves climbing in and out of baskets, drawers, the toy box...anything!
He climbed into this basket and played there quietly for several minutes before getting out.
It was so cute!
Avery's little friend Emily stayed with us for a couple of days while her Mom was in the hospital giving birth to a new baby brother.
Avery loved having a playmate and we loved having Emily in our home with us!

And we FINALLY got our raised garden beds planted.

We are so late this year!
If we lived in Utah we'd be right on time but we live in hot, Central California and so we're very late planting. 
This year we planted tomatoes, peppers, spinach, Arugula lettuce, green onions, radishes, carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins, and a couple kinds of squashes.

We also have strawberries, peaches, Gala apples, Granny Smith apples, and many kinds of herbs growing in the backyard.
And we have a large broccoli plant left over from our winter garden with several heads of broccoli almost ready to harvest.
Avery will love that since broccoli is one of his favorite foods!
